Liwonde Hot Spring is a natural thermal site within or near Liwonde National Park in southern Malawi, where chloride-bearing geothermal waters emerge in the floodplain landscape of the Shire River — one of Africa's most wildlife-rich river environments, home to large hippopotamus pods, Nile crocodiles, sable antelope, and one of Malawi's most successful black rhino reintroduction programmes.
