The Benja Hot Springs emerge naturally from the riverbed of the Lengarica River gorge near the town of Permet in southern Albania, creating a rare spectacle where bicarbonate-rich thermal water mingles with cool mountain stream water beneath a graceful Ottoman-era stone bridge. Part of the Lengarica Canyon protected area, these springs are remarkably wild and unspoilt, accessible via a scenic riverside hike through dramatic limestone cliffs draped in Mediterranean vegetation.
