Kosino Thermal Resort is a health spa facility in the Zakarpattia Oblast of western Ukraine, in the thermal spring zone of the Transcarpathian region where the geological structures of the Pannonian basin produce iodine- and magnesium-rich mineral water highly valued in Ukrainian and Central European balneology. Zakarpattia (Transcarpathia), bordering Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania, is Ukraine's most thermally active region and has developed a significant health tourism industry based on its mineral springs and spa facilities. The region's extraordinary multicultural heritage — historically part of the Hungarian Kingdom, Czechoslovakia, and the USSR — and the scenic Carpathian Mountains surrounding the Zakarpattian basin provide a rich central European context.
