Sandanski Spa Hotel

Sandanski Spa Hotel is located in Sandanski, Blagoevgrad Province, in the valley of the Struma River at the southern foot of the Pirin Mountains, a city with a remarkably mild Mediterranean-influenced microclimate and a therapeutic tradition stretching from ancient Thrace through Roman occupation to the present. Sandanski claims to be the birthplace of Spartacus — the Thracian gladiator who led the most famous slave rebellion in Roman history (73–71 BCE) — and the city's archaeological museum preserves evidence of Thracian and Roman habitation alongside the ancient thermal baths used by the town's early inhabitants.
