Tibet Yangbajain Geothermal is one of the world's highest-altitude hot spring fields, set at 4,300 meters elevation on the Tibetan Plateau northwest of Lhasa where bicarbonate-rich geothermal water from one of Asia's most powerful geothermal systems emerges in a vast open plain framed by snow-capped Himalayan peaks of extraordinary height, including the Nyenchen Tanglha Range whose summit exceeds 7,100 meters.
