Ratopani Hot Spring is a celebrated natural thermal spring on the Manaslu Circuit trekking route in Nepal, located in the Gorkha district where warm, sulphurous mineral water pools in natural rock basins beside the Budhi Gandaki River at an altitude of approximately 1,260 metres. The spring is one of the most eagerly anticipated natural attractions on the Manaslu Circuit — one of Nepal's most spectacular and challenging high-altitude trekking routes — offering exhausted trekkers the extraordinary relief of soaking in naturally warm mineral water amid the towering peaks of the Himalayan range. Insider tip — Ratopani Hot Spring is perched on the banks of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world's deepest gorge, at roughly 2,500 metres elevation in the Annapurna Circuit. The sulfurous water emerges at a soothing 38°C and flows into simple stone pools used by trekkers and local Gurung villagers for generations. The gorge setting is dramatic, with towering cliff walls and the rushing grey river below framing the outdoor bathing experience.
