Bǎi Huā Lǐng Wēnquán — 'Hundred Flowers Ridge Hot Spring' — is a geothermal spring in China set on or near a mountain ridge famous for its extraordinary floral diversity, where the warmth of the geothermal spring sustains a microclimate in which hundreds of wild flower species bloom in a spectacular alpine garden. Insider tip — Bai Hua Ling Wenquan is set in the volcanic landscape near Tengchong in western Yunnan, a region famous for some of China's most spectacular geothermal activity. The sulfurous spring is surrounded by flower-covered terraces that lend the site its name, meaning Hundred Flowers Ridge. The moderately hot 40°C water is ideal for a long soak amid the spectacular volcanic scenery of the Gaoligong foothills.
