The Aachener Kaiserthermen — the Kaiserquellen thermal baths of Aachen — draw on the hottest natural springs in northern Europe, with sulphur-sodium waters emerging at up to 74°C from a deep geothermal system beneath the city that made Roman Aquae Granni one of the most important healing centres of the empire.
