Thermalbad Wiesenbad

Thermalbad Wiesenbad in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) of Saxony is a historic radon spa resort sitting in the Zschopau river valley of this ancient silver and uranium mining region — the same geological formations that yielded the uranium ore used by Marie Curie in her discoveries of polonium and radium, and that have produced naturally radioactive spring waters used therapeutically for rheumatic and inflammatory conditions.
