Balneario Caldes Malavella

Caldes de Malavella is a thermal spa town in the La Selva comarca of Girona, Catalonia, Spain, whose hot bicarbonate springs — emerging at temperatures up to 60°C — have been used for bathing since at least the Roman period, when the site was known as Aquae Calidae and served as an important Roman thermal station on the Via Augusta connecting Italy to Hispania.
