Balneario Grávalos Rioja

Balneario Grávalos Rioja is located in Grávalos, a small municipality in the Rioja Baja comarca of La Rioja, Spain, in the semi-arid Cervera del Río Alhama valley near the borders with Aragon and Navarra — a landscape of ochre clay hills, dry river valleys, and scattered medieval villages characteristic of the transition zone between the humid Atlantic north and the arid Ebro Basin. The bicarbonate mineral waters of Grávalos emerge from the sedimentary geology of the Ebro Basin's southern margin and have been enjoyed since Roman times, when the area was known for its springs along the ancient road network connecting the upper Ebro to the Mediterranean, within a long thermal tradition.
