Balneario de Cuntis is one of Galicia's most celebrated thermal towns, in the municipality of Cuntis in Pontevedra province, where hyperthermally hot bicarbonate springs emerge at some of the highest temperatures in Spain and have attracted therapeutic visitors since Roman times, when the waters were known as Aquae Calidae. The exceptionally hot waters, reaching temperatures above 70°C at the source, are cooled for therapeutic use and are traditionally valued by bathers seeking restful, restorative bathing in a long-established regional spa setting. Surrounded by the lush Atlantic greenery of inland Galicia, Cuntis remains one of the most historically significant thermal stations in the Iberian Peninsula.
