Balneario de Zestoa

Balneario de Zestoa is a historic thermal spa in the Basque Country municipality of Zestoa, in the Urola River valley of Gipuzkoa province, where bicarbonate-chlorinated mineral waters have been used for bathing purposes since at least the 16th century, making it one of the oldest functioning spas in northern Spain. The Victorian-era grand hotel and thermal facilities, built during the golden age of Basque spa culture in the late 19th century, retain their elegant architecture amid the forested hills of inland Euskadi. The spa's mineral waters have long been part of the Basque balneotherapy tradition, continuing a proud heritage of thermal bathing in one of Europe's most culturally distinctive regions.
