On the banks of the Miño river, in the parish of Barbantes-Estación (municipality of Cenlle, Ourense), this thermal area grew from a natural sulphurous spring and opened in 2013 with funding from Agader and the Ourense Provincial Council, at a cost of 110,000 euros. It closed in 2020 due to the pandemic and again to comply with Galicia's new regulation on recreational thermal water use, before reopening its three open-air pools.
The water is weakly mineralized and hypothermal, of the bicarbonate, alkaline, sodic, magnesian and chlorinated type, flowing at between 21 and 28°C. Set in a wooded area with picnic spots, showers, a small bar and free parking, it has become a popular stop for wild-bathing enthusiasts in Galicia.
