La Preste Thermal

La Preste is one of the highest altitude thermal spas in France and indeed in Europe, situated at an elevation of approximately 1,130 meters in the Pyrenees-Orientales department of Occitanie, in the valley of the Tech River near the Spanish border in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. Its sulfurous mineral springs, whose concentrated waters are among the most distinctive in the French Pyrenees, have been enjoyed since the 18th century within a long thermal tradition for which La Preste has a specialized and internationally recognized reputation. The mountain setting of La Preste, surrounded by the extraordinary granite landscape of the Haut Vallespir and the Canigou massif — the sacred mountain of the Catalans — provides a setting of exceptional scenic grandeur for the thermal experience.
