Caldas de Carlão is a thermal spa in the parish of Candedo, Murça municipality, Vila Real district in the Douro Superior region of northern Portugal, where sulfurous bicarbonated carbonated mineral springs emerge from the schist and granite terrain of the upper Douro valley in one of Portugal's most celebrated wine and olive oil landscapes.
