Set in Isparta's Emre district on Çınar street, right in the city center, Cumhuriyet Hamamı ranks among the town's oldest bathhouses, known for the fine craftsmanship of its decorative motifs. The building underwent a 1980 restoration carried out by craftsman İsmail Zeki İzci using traditional mortar and stonework techniques.

The hamam keeps men's and women's sections clearly separate; the men's wing alone holds 34 private rooms, two waiting lounges, a smoking room, two heated stone platforms, a sauna, a cold-plunge pool and a steam room. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the establishment keeps the traditional bathing ritual alive, guided by experienced tellak attendants.

Insider tip — Cumhuriyet Hamami is situated near Egirdir in the Isparta lake district of southwestern Turkey, a region of high plateaus and freshwater lakes. The hammam follows the classic Ottoman layout with a central heated marble slab and domed ceiling. Its setting near Lake Egirdir, one of Turkey's largest freshwater lakes, makes it a distinctive wellness stop on the route between Antalya and Cappadocia.
