Relaxing — deep, immediate muscle release.
Loaded with major ions — the essential minerals (Ca, Mg).
Dense, salty water — you float without effort.
In Bath, hot springs rising naturally from the ground were already used by the Celts and later the Romans, who built a temple there between 60 and 70 AD — giving rise to the town of Aquae Sulis. These springs, the warmest in the United Kingdom, still deliver around 250,000 litres of mineral-rich water a day.
Reopened in 2006 after a project backed by the Millennium Commission and a decade of construction, Thermae Bath Spa is the only establishment in the country built around a natural thermal spring. It offers two thermal pools, an open-air rooftop pool overlooking the Georgian skyline, and a wellness suite with steam rooms, an ice chamber, and an infrared sauna.
