Thermae Sylla Spa Wellness Hotel in Edipsos (Aidipsos) on the island of Euboea is Greece's most prestigious and historically distinguished thermal hotel, a magnificent neoclassical building rising directly from the sea front of one of the oldest continuously used thermal resorts in the ancient world — Aristotle described the Edipsos springs, Roman general Sulla bathed here after his campaigns, and the emperor Hadrian developed the facilities. The sulphurous waters, which emerge at up to 82°C and flow directly into the hotel's seafront pools where they mix with Aegean seawater, provide one of the most dramatically atmospheric bathing experiences in Greece.
