Bizovac is a small Slavonian village in the Osijek-Baranja County of eastern Croatia, where chloride-rich thermal waters discovered accidentally during oil drilling in 1965 at 74 degrees Celsius have been developed into a thermal water park complex serving the agricultural plain of Slavonia. The thermal brine waters from the deep Pannonian Basin sediments beneath the Slavonian plain are among the most mineralized in Croatia, used for musculoskeletal and rheumatic balneotherapy in facilities that have transformed a modest village into a regional thermal tourism hub.
