Terme Bük

Buk is a spa town in Vas County of western Hungary, bordering Austria and Slovenia, one of the most important thermal resorts in the country, where bicarbonate-rich thermal waters discovered during drilling in 1957 have been developed into a comprehensive spa complex serving over a million visitors annually from Hungary, Austria, Germany, and Slovenia. The thermal waters emerge at 58 degrees Celsius from the deep Pannonian sedimentary aquifer beneath the Transdanubian highlands, used in balneotherapy for musculoskeletal, rheumatic, and post-operative rehabilitation. Positioned at the geographical confluence of three countries — with the Austrian Burgenland visible from the outdoor pools and Slovenia just 30 kilometres distant — Buk is ideally situated as a Central European thermal hub combining Hungarian thermal culture with the gastronomic and wine traditions of the Transdanubian region.
