Opened in 1913 in Budapest's City Park, Széchenyi is the largest thermal bath complex in Europe, with Neo-Baroque façades designed by Győző Czigler. The site's story begins with a well drilled between 1865 and 1875 by Vilmos Zsigmondi, reaching nearly 975 metres deep. A second spring, found in 1938 at a depth of 1,256 metres and emerging at 77°C, now supplies the complex.
