Mezőkövesd Zsóry-fürdő

Mezőkövesd Zsóry-fürdő, situated in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén in northeastern Hungary, is a major thermal bathing complex whose origins trace to the mid-twentieth century, when mineral waters were discovered unexpectedly during drilling operations. Set in the agricultural lowlands of the Great Hungarian Plain, it is one of Hungary's most established gyógyfürdő — officially designated mineral bathing establishments — surrounded by the quiet farmland and distinctive folk culture of the Matyó region.

The sodium-chloride water rises at a remarkable 72 °C, among the highest temperatures of any thermal source in Hungary, with a neutral pH of 7.3 that gives the water a surprisingly gentle, agreeable quality. The saline mineral composition produces a noticeably dense, warming immersion — the water feels substantial and enveloping in a way that lighter mineral springs do not.
