Zsóry Thermal Bath in Mezőkövesd, Heves County, located in the Northern Hungarian foothills near the Matyó textile art heartland, draws bicarbonate and calcium-rich therapeutic water from deep Pannonian Basin wells to feed one of northeastern Hungary's largest and most popular outdoor thermal complexes, set within an 11-hectare park surrounding the historic spa town. Mezőkövesd is the historical home of the Matyó people, a Hungarian ethnographic group whose extraordinarily elaborate folk embroidery — featuring dense floral motifs in vivid reds, blues, and yellows — is recognised as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
