San Casciano dei Bagni

San Casciano dei Bagni is a Tuscan comune in the province of Siena, famous for its archaeological excavations that revealed an exceptional Etrusco-Roman thermal sanctuary. In November 2022, twenty-four remarkably well-preserved bronze statues were discovered there, some dating from the 2nd century BC. Its natural thermal springs at 42°C, which already flowed in antiquity to feed the sanctuary, continue to supply its modern baths with sulphurous waters of therapeutic virtues.
