The sodium-chloride water emerges at a remarkable 60 °C, a reflection of the intense geothermal energy stored in these volcanic mountains, and is cooled to comfortable bathing temperatures before use. At a perfectly neutral pH of 7.5, the water has a mild, pleasant mineral character that leaves skin feeling softened and gently warmed long after leaving the bath.
