Tsugaike Onsen is a spectacular mountain hot spring on the Tsugaike Kogen (highland) above Hakuba village in northern Nagano Prefecture, situated at approximately 1,880 meters elevation in the Hakuba Valley of the Northern Alps — one of Japan's premier alpine ski destinations and the site of many events during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.
