Nomura Onsen Chiba serves the Oamishirasato area of central Chiba Prefecture, a community positioned between the Pacific coast at Kujukuri and the inland waterways connecting the Tone and Edo rivers, part of the vast lowland water management system that transformed the Kanto marshes into productive agricultural land through centuries of drainage engineering beginning in the Edo period.
