Ibusuki Hakusuikan Onsen

Ibusuki Hakusuikan Onsen is a renowned ryokan and hot spring resort in Ibusuki, at the southern tip of Kyushu's Satsuma Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture, celebrated worldwide for Ibusuki's unique tradition of sunamushi — sand bathing in naturally geothermally heated black volcanic sand at the shoreline, a distinctive ritual within Japan's long thermal tradition.
