Gomarankadawala Hot Springs are natural sulphurous springs in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka, rising near the ancient Gomarankadawala Raja Maha Viharaya Buddhist temple in a historically and spiritually significant landscape. The sulphurous and lightly mineral waters are used by local devotees and pilgrims for bathing rituals, valued within a long thermal and Ayurvedic tradition associated with well-being and the comfort they leave on the skin. The setting amid dry zone jungle, ancient tank irrigation systems, and Buddhist heritage of the Anuradhapura cultural triangle gives these springs a deeply authentic Sri Lankan character.
