Termales de Jicaro

Termales de Jicaro is a natural hot spring site associated with the Las Salinas de Nagualapa area in southwestern Nicaragua, where sulfurous geothermal waters emerge in the Pacific coastal lowland landscape near the Nicaraguan Riviera, one of Central America's most underdeveloped and pristine Pacific coastlines. The springs provide therapeutic sulfurous bathing in a setting shaped by the volcanic geology of the Pacific volcanic chain and the rich coastal ecosystem of mangrove estuaries and sea turtle nesting beaches that characterise this remote corner of the Carazo and Rivas departments. The combination of geothermal spring access with the extraordinary wild beaches, fishing communities, and coastal biodiversity of the Nagualapa area makes this one of Nicaragua's most naturally rich and tourism-light destinations for combined thermal and ecological discovery.
