Hajdúnánási Fürdő

Hajdúnánási Fürdő is the spa facility of Hajdúnánás, designated alongside Hajdúszoboszló and Debrecen as the third spa city of Hajdú-Bihar county in eastern Hungary, where iodinated bicarbonated simple mineral waters drawn from the deep thermal aquifers of the Pannonian Basin have been developed into a bathing and wellness destination serving the agricultural communities of the northeastern Hungarian plain. Hajdúnánás is situated 40 km from Debrecen and 27 km from Nyíregyháza in the northeastern Alföld, a region of sunflower and grain fields that conceals beneath its flat surface one of Europe's most remarkable geothermal water systems, exploited across eastern Hungary to supply both agricultural heating and thermal bathing. The iodine content of the Hajdúnánás mineral waters distinguishes them within the rich thermal spring landscape of Hungary's Great Plain, offering mineral bathing that combines the relaxing warmth of the Pannonian artesian waters with the particular character traditionally associated with iodine-bearing thermal waters within a long bathing tradition.
