Yuri no Yama Onsen, also in Nachikatsuura, Wakayama Prefecture, draws sodium-chloride water at 41°C, with an indoor bath, an open-air outdoor bath (rotenburo) and a sauna on site.

Insider tip — Yuri no Yama, the lily mountain spring, serves the hillside residential quarter of Nachikatsuura-cho overlooking Kii-Katsuura Bay where the Pacific Ocean meets the forested Kii Peninsula shore. The surrounding Nachi mountains are the southernmost habitat in Honshu of the Japanese lily (Lilium japonicum) whose pink-flushed white flowers carpet the forest clearings in late June, and the ancient cedar groves shading the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail connecting Nachi Shrine to Hongu Taisha have been classified as UNESCO World Heritage landscape since 2004.
