SodiumChloruresBrome

Tokinoiro, in Inagi, western Tokyo, is fed by natural sodium-chloride water at 41°C. Indoor bath, outdoor rotenburo and sauna are all brought together here.

Insider tip — Tokinoiro, the spring of seasonal colors, serves Inagi City on the upper Tama River plain in the southwestern corner of Tokyo where three rivers join to create the floodplain wetland transformed into Inagi City Park. Inagi was historically the center of silk production on the Tama plateau — the Tama silk (Musashi-tsumugi) woven from cocoons raised in mulberry orchards that once covered the plateau was exported to Hachioji for weaving before the Meiji industrial transformation converted these plateau uplands to the suburban residential community visible today.
