Chitral Gol Hot Springs

Chitral Gol Hot Springs, also known as the Garam Chashma springs, is a significant natural hot spring site in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, where bicarbonate-rich geothermal waters emerge at temperatures around 45°C in the extreme mountain landscape of the Hindu Kush range near the Afghan border — one of the world's most remote and culturally complex mountain frontiers. The springs at Garam Chashma have been used for therapeutic bathing by the Kho people of Chitral and visiting Kalash, Nuristani, and Afghan communities for centuries, representing a rare meeting point of multiple mountain cultures in a geothermal landscape of remarkable natural power.
