Termy Lądek in Lądek-Zdrój is one of the oldest functioning spa towns in central Europe, with thermal bathing traditions in this Lower Silesian mountain town documented since at least the 14th century, when it was known as Bad Landeck under Bohemian rule. The bicarbonate-fluoride-radon thermal waters emerge from granite bedrock in the Eastern Sudetes mountains and have long been sought by bathers as part of the town's historic Kurort tradition.
