Uniejów Thermal Spa

Uniejów Thermal Spa is a thermal aquatic resort in Uniejów, a small town in Poddębice County of the Łódź Voivodeship in central Poland, where highly mineralised chloride-rich saline geothermal waters from the deep Mesozoic aquifer have transformed an otherwise modest agricultural town into one of Poland's most visited inland thermal spa destinations since the complex opened. Uniejów holds the unique distinction of being Poland's only historical spa town in central Poland outside the mountain zones, having received official spa status in 2012 — the first new spa town designation in Poland in over 50 years — recognising its exceptionally concentrated saline mineral waters within a long thermal tradition. The surrounding medieval heritage of the 14th-century Uniejów castle, now converted into a luxury hotel and forming the visual centrepiece of the thermal complex, creates a remarkably atmospheric setting where historic architecture, spa traditions, and geothermal bathing converge in the flat Łódź lowland landscape.
