Thermal Vyhne is a thermal resort in the village of Vyhne in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia, nestled in the forested Štiavnica Hills within the heart of the Slovak Ore Mountains, where bicarbonate thermal waters have been used therapeutically since the 18th century when the surrounding region was one of the most important silver and gold mining areas in the Habsburg Empire. The warm mineral waters emerging here reflect the geothermal activity associated with the ancient volcanic geology of the Štiavnica Caldera — part of the same geological complex as the UNESCO World Heritage mining town of Banská Štiavnica just a few kilometers away.
