Çekirge is the historic thermal quarter of Bursa in northwestern Turkey, where bicarbonate-rich hot springs at around 47°C have been channelled into grand Ottoman and 19th-century bathing establishments that still operate today within an atmospheric historic streetscape. The district takes its name from a corruption of the word for 'spring', reflecting the centrality of its thermal waters to Bursa's identity since Byzantine times.
