Sultaniye

Sultaniye Thermal Springs on the western shore of Lake Köyceğiz in the Muğla province of southwestern Turkey have been in continuous use since antiquity, when the ancient Lycian city of Caunos nearby was already a renowned destination within a long thermal tradition. The radon-rich spring water flows directly into the lake shore at 39°C, where traditional hammam cabins offer mud and thermal bathing using the sulphurous lake mud that is mixed with the mineral water in a custom documented over two thousand years of Mediterranean spa tradition.
