Circle Hot Springs Alaska

Circle Hot Springs is a historic thermal resort in remote interior Alaska, located 128 miles northeast of Fairbanks in the Yukon Flats region, where sulphurous hot springs emerge in the subarctic lowlands near the town of Circle — one of the original Alaska gold rush towns positioned on the Yukon River near the Arctic Circle. The naturally hot sulphurous spring waters provided warmth and therapeutic bathing for Alaska's pioneering gold rush communities in one of the continent's most extreme subarctic environments, where winter temperatures can reach –60°C and the aurora borealis blazes across dark skies for months.
