Along Salt Creek in the Willamette National Forest, these springs have a colorful past: trapper Frank Warner settled here in 1878 before being evicted. In 1916, Judge William Wallace McCredie opened a springs resort served by passenger trains. The hotel burned down in 1958, and the 1964 flood swept away the access bridge. Today, the site remains natural and undeveloped.
