Gold Bar Hot Springs

Gold Bar Hot Springs is a natural warm spring near the small logging and recreation town of Gold Bar in the Skykomish River valley of western Washington State, where the bicarbonate-enriched thermal water seeps through the volcanic and metamorphic geology of the Index Peaks area of the Cascades in a landscape of dramatic granite spires, roaring glacial rivers, and some of the Pacific Northwest's most challenging technical rock climbing routes. The warm springs serve a community of outdoor enthusiasts who use Gold Bar as a base for the Index climbing walls, Wallace Falls State Park hike, and the rafting and kayaking of the Skykomish River's white-water sections, providing a natural thermal recovery experience after intense outdoor exertion in the western Cascades foothills. The surrounding Snoqualmie National Forest, the historic Great Northern Railway corridor, and the wild Skykomish River's steelhead fishing give these natural springs an adventurous Pacific Northwest character.
