Goldmyer Hot Springs is one of the most beloved and carefully managed primitive natural hot springs in the Pacific Northwest, situated deep in the Cascade Mountains east of Seattle in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie valley, where sulphurous water at around 53°C flows from a cave spring into a series of natural pools in an old-growth forest setting of remarkable beauty. The site is managed by a private non-profit with a daily visitor cap and advance reservation requirement, preserving its pristine character and preventing overuse — a model for sustainable hot spring management. The surrounding Middle Fork Snoqualmie wilderness, with its ancient Douglas fir and western red cedar forest, clear mountain streams, and the cascading waterfalls of the valley, provides one of the most pristine Cascade Mountain settings of any hot spring in Washington State.
