Encino Hot Springs

Encino Hot Springs is a natural sulphurous thermal site in New Mexico where hot spring water emerges from the earth in the high desert landscape of central New Mexico, traditional territory of the Pueblo peoples who have inhabited this region for over a thousand years. The sulphurous springs are situated in a landscape rich in Native American archaeology, Spanish Colonial history, and the distinctive New Mexican mixture of Pueblo, Hispanic, and Anglo-American cultures. The surrounding high desert scenery — with its dramatic mesas, piñon-juniper forests, and enormous New Mexican sky — provides a characteristically Southwestern American setting for this natural geothermal site.
