Moc Chau Hot Spring Son La

Moc Chau Hot Spring is a natural thermal bathing site on the Moc Chau Plateau in Son La Province of northwestern Vietnam, a highland plateau at approximately 1,050 meters elevation renowned for its cool microclimate, tea plantations, dairy farming — producing the majority of Vietnam's fresh milk — and spectacular seasonal wildflower displays of plum blossoms in January and mustard fields in March. The bicarbonate and sulfated thermal waters provide therapeutic warmth and skin-beneficial properties in a highland setting, complementing the cool plateau air that is exceptionally refreshing by Vietnamese standards. The H'Mong and Thai minority villages of the Moc Chau Plateau, with their distinctive architecture, colorful embroidered costumes, and traditional weekly market culture, add rich ethnic diversity to the hot spring experience.
