Yeniceköy Baths

The Yeniceköy Baths are historic public baths in the municipality of Tire in İzmir Province, a prosperous western Anatolian town with a rich Ottoman heritage and one of the finest collections of hans, mosques, and covered bazaars of any small city in Turkey. Tire was an important commercial centre during the Ottoman period, situated in the fertile Küçük Menderes River valley between İzmir and the Aegean highlands, and its bath culture reflected the prosperity of a town whose weekly market attracted merchants from across the region.
