The Tepecik Baths are a historic Ottoman hammam in Bodrum District of Muğla Province in southwestern Turkey, on the peninsula that was the ancient Halicarnassus — birthplace of the historian Herodotus and original site of the Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Bodrum today is celebrated as one of Turkey's premier Aegean resort destinations, with its iconic white-and-blue townscape, Crusader castle, and crowded yacht harbour, but the Tepecik Baths reflect the Ottoman civic heritage of a settlement whose contemporary tourism identity overlies a remarkably deep historical record.
