The Baths of Pertev Paşa are an Ottoman hammam in İzmit District, Kocaeli Province in northwestern Turkey, endowed by Pertev Paşa, a prominent grand vizier of the Ottoman Empire who served under Suleiman the Magnificent in the sixteenth century. Pertev Paşa was known as a man of culture and a patron of architecture who endowed multiple buildings across the empire including hans, mosques, and bath complexes that bore his name. The İzmit hammam formed part of his charitable legacy in a city strategically positioned at the eastern end of the Gulf of İzmit on the road connecting Istanbul to Anatolia.
