Çarşı hammams were typically positioned at the heart of commercial districts, serving merchants, craftsmen, and travelers who gathered around the covered bazaars of Ottoman towns. Tekirdağ, known in antiquity as Rhaedestus and an important Thracian port, has preserved this hammam as part of its layered urban heritage stretching across the Byzantine and Ottoman centuries.
